Have you ever wondered why you and your partner sometimes seem to speak different languages? Whether your child is really hyperactive, or simply very active? Why you feel drawn to some people and not to others, or what your true calling is? Chronobiological psychogenetics answers questions like these from a single, simple starting point: your date of birth.
What it is
Chronobiological psychogenetics is a young science with ancient roots. It examines human character from an energetic and informational point of view, and it rests on statistical analysis: the pooled observations of doctors, psychologists, healers, teachers, physiologists and psychotherapists, gathered over decades from many thousands of people.
Its premise is that the moment of birth shapes a living organism. By studying the psychological traits of people born at particular times and comparing them with their birth dates, the method arrived at a precise description of the traits that belong to each date. From that, a person's make-up can be mapped on three levels, physical, emotional and intellectual, from nothing more than the year, month and day they were born.
The name says exactly what it is:
- chronos: time
- biology: the science of living things
- psyche: the soul, our emotional energies
- genetics: the science of how inherited information is passed on
Where it came from
The method was born on 31 December 1981, at the meeting point of psychology, statistics, philosophy, Eastern medicine, the theory of biorhythms and ideas from quantum physics. Its founder, Professor Artur V. Zhaskov, was a psychologist at a college in the former Soviet Union that trained elite athletes. Alongside his work he supported those young sportspeople psychologically, and he needed a way to build training programmes and competition calendars that would let each of them perform at their best. That practical need started the research.
In 1987 Dr. Tatiana I. Smirnova joined the work, and she has guided the method's development ever since. Like every new field, it was tested on two levels: first for internal consistency through statistical analysis, and then in practice, by comparing its results with those of established methods.
The three levels
The whole method rests on three levels that run through a person's life from the day they are born: the physical, the emotional and the intellectual. Each has a small number of distinct types, and every person is a particular combination of the three. The next piece, The method behind the profile, describes each level and what it is read through. That combination is what we go through together in the Self-Awareness Session.
Our characteristics are carried in time: the date we were born holds our gifts and our personal psychological traits.
What it can tell us
- Relationships: why you are drawn to some people and not others, and why some partnerships work.
- Career: the kind of work that suits you, so you can choose it early.
- Stress: how much pressure you can take, and how you recover best.
- Leadership: your natural way of leading, and of handling conflict.
- Any age: the things you were made for, even if you have not found them yet.
- Health: where your energy is weakest, so you know what to look after.
Why it is not astrology, and not numerology
Astrology and numerology also draw information from the date of birth, so the confusion is understandable, but the foundations are entirely different. Astrology begins with the stars and reads a person's traits from the constellations. Numerology begins with numbers and draws parallels between their symbolic properties and human behaviour. Both grew out of an idealist way of seeing the world.
Chronobiological psychogenetics begins with observed people. It is a scientific method: it compared real psychological traits with real birth dates, across a very large number of people, and described what it found. It is the youngest member of the old family of sciences that study the human being and, in my experience, the most accurate personality mapping available.
What it is not
It is not a test you fill in, and it is not a reading. It is a profile, and a profile is only the beginning. Understanding yourself is the first phase of para-psychological counselling; the second is working with what the profile reveals. That is where 5D pyramid programming comes in.
